SecureWALL brings together all the essential
technology needed for a business to make full use of its ASDL, ISDN or
Leased Line Internet connection.. |
|
| |
In designing the SecureWALL, our primary
objective was to produce an 'simple all-in-one' solution, that would
meet
all the core business security needs, but did not require customers to
be familiar with or have to manage the technology involved in Internet
security
and connectivity themselves. |
|
| |
Security systems like SecureWALL need to
be managed and maintained to ensure they provide the essential protection
a company needs. Secure IT Systems provide a System Management Service,
provided remotely over the Internet, leaving you free to concentrate on
what you best. |

| What is an Acceptable use Policy ? |
| "An acceptable use policy in its raw state,
is a series of rules and conditions for the acceptable use by employees
of the company’s Internet communications facilities.
In its refined state it is a framework to provide a safe and
easily accessible Internet facility free from offensive and
illegal
Internet material, it helps improve Internet productivity for
all and forms a positive contribution to employee welfare."
|
|
|
| |
Any business Internet facility
should really be provided with a clear set of usage guidelines agreed
upon within the company. We therefore recommend your company introduce
an ‘Acceptable
Use Policy’ (AUP) for email and Internet use. An AUP should clearly
state what is and what is not considered
acceptable use of these business facilities, together with any disciplinary
actions that may be taken should these facilities be abused. After all,
there is little point in making rules if you are not going to enforce
them |
|
| |
SecureWALL will provide the
means for management to discreetly Police such policies and will provide
evidence of any abuse. In real terms however, your SecureWALL itself should
provide an adequate deterrent to those
employees who would probably abuse an otherwise unmanaged facility. |
|
| |
A "Ready-to-use" Acceptable
Use Policy (AUP) template is supplied as part of your SecureWALL Solution.
When suitably amended to reflect the culture of your company, your policy
should
be formally adopted by the company’s board of Directors and distributed
to all employees, with a note of explanation as to why the policy is
being
introduced and what the benefits are to them and the business. Details
of how to go about defining and implement the policy within your company
will be provided along with these sample policies. |
|
| |
Please
note: Before implementing any Acceptable Use Policies you should
seek the appropriate legal advice. |
|
| |
If you have the optional Desktop
Anti-Virus Management System with SecureWALL your business could implement
a full 360° Anti-Virus Policy that
is enforceable and managed centrally using SecureWALL. |
